Bad Beat
There are many times in sports that remind me that I’m glad I don’t bet on games anymore.
That happened again Monday night in such incredible fashion at the end of the Seahawks-Eagles game… because WOW, this was something.
The Eagles were underdogs at home by 6.5 points. Trailing by 14 points with less than 15 seconds to play in the game, Carson Wentz lofted a Hail Mary into the end zone. The ball deflected off a receiver’s hands and was caught one-handed by Eagles tight end Richard Rodgers as he fell to the ground.
With Bad Beat I got the super sweet heroine I expected but Ms. Curtis also gave me an actual anti-hero and some grit. What an awesome surprise that was! Olivia is the daughter of a prostitute who was surprisingly sheltered from that by a mother who wanted so much more for her da Even though I like things action packed and edgy when I’m in the. Bad Beat Brewing opened in July 2014 by Nathan Hall born out of his love of poker and craft beer. Never one to shy away from a gamble, Nathan sold his house and spent every dollar in his bank account to fund his dream. A Bad Beat in the poker world means you’re the underdog and starting a craft brewery in Las Vegas is definitely against the odds. Staff is beyond friendly, too!
- And for whoever bet on the Sixers -7.5 or on the under, it was a pretty bad beat to have to stomach. Even those who took Philly at -7 went from a win to a push, which is a downer in itself.
- A bad beat is in fact when someone makes an incorrect move against you, and gets extremely lucky. Losing a hand in poker that you from the beginning are very probable to win. Often (or so it will seem) to a worse player, who called you bet when the odds were clearly against him/her.
That touchdown made it an 8-point game with 12 seconds left. But then instead of kicking an extra point the Eagles for some reason went for two points and got it.
That led to a six-point loss for the Eagles and a really bad night for anyone who bet on the Seahawks to cover the spread.

Gamblers were stunned:
Talk about a bad beat.
The Oklahoma City Thunder entered the game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night as 13.5-point underdogs on BetMGM. Early, it looked like there was no chance they’d cover the spread, as they trailed by 18 at the end of the first quarter and as many as 27 in the second.
But late in that second quarter, they started rolling, and cut the lead to as little as 10 in the third quarter. Suddenly, bettors had interest.

Oklahoma City couldn’t get closer than 10, but with 25 seconds left, they trailed by 15. Wing Lu Dort got a defensive rebound and took the ball upcourt himself. He then drove and drew a foul on a layup attempt with 16.7 seconds to play.
Both free throws would cover the spread.

Bettors didn’t have to hold their breath for long. He missed the first before sinking the second.

That was the final real possession of the game, as the Clippers walked the ball up and ran out the clock on the next.
Dort finished with 19 points, so the missed free throw also cost him what would have been his third game in a row with 20 or more points.

Close, but not quite. If you bet on the Thunder this season, especially against a team like the Clippers, you know the risk you’re taking. There’s a reason they say the house always wins.
